Advanced Pathway

Shadowlight

Nothing in you is unlovable. Even the shadow deserves a seat at the fire.

Stay regulated while touching charged memories and patterns.

7 days of practice
Deep Temple · Zyana+

You'll practice

  • Naming and mapping shadow traits
  • Mirror + candle rituals
  • Anchor-based aftercare and integration

Milestones

  • Day 1

    Shadow roll call

List your main shadow traits and their origin stories.

  • Day 3

    Mirror ritual

Hold your own gaze with softness while naming a tender truth.

  • Day 7

    Shadow integration

Write a letter from your wiser self to one shadow part.

Signs of regulation

  • You can stay present with discomfort a little longer
  • You reach for breath or grounding when triggered
  • You move from “I am bad” to “a part of me feels…”

Integration markers

  • You talk about your patterns without as much shame spiral
  • You plan aftercare before hard conversations
  • You invite trusted people into your process

Daily breakdown

Day 1

Meeting the shadow at the door

Contact without fusion

I acknowledge that shadow parts exist without attacking them.

Shadow roll call

List 3–5 traits you judge harshly in yourself. For each one, write: “This part first appeared to protect me when…”.

journal15 min

Anchor after naming

Place a hand on your chest or belly and take 5 slow breaths. Whisper: “We are safe enough to name this.”

somatic4 min• Breath: In 4 · Hold 2 · Out 6

Day 2

Candle + mirror

Self-contact

I look at myself with as much softness as I can manage today.

Candle & mirror ritual

Light a candle, sit in front of a mirror, and gaze softly into your eyes. Say: “I see you. You get to be here.”

ritual10 min

Post-ritual grounding

Touch something solid (floor, wall, table). Name the current date and your current age out loud.

somatic3 min

Day 3

Trigger tracking

Pattern mapping

I map what activates my shadow instead of shaming it.

Trigger log

Recall 3 recent triggers. Note what happened, what you felt, and which shadow trait took over (jealous, controlling, withdrawing, etc.).

journal10 min

Box breath reset

Inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. Repeat 4–6 rounds after reviewing the log.

breathwork4 min

Day 4

Repair scripts

Relational integration

I practice words that honor both my shadow and my relationships.

Repair script

Use the template: “A part of me got activated (by X). It wanted to protect me by (Y). I am sorry it spilled onto you. Next time I want to try (Z).”

journal10 min

Heart + throat tap

Tap gently over your heart and throat while reading your script out loud to yourself.

integration3 min

Day 5

Shadow gifts

Reframing

I look for the hidden gifts inside my shadow traits.

Gift hunt

For each shadow trait, list 1–2 potential gifts (e.g., “controlling” → leadership, vision; “jealous” → deep desire for intimacy).

journal10 min

Shadow at the fire

Imagine your shadow parts sitting at a campfire with you. See each one holding its original gift.

visualization5 min

Day 6

Ritual release

Symbolic release

I release one story about my shadow that no longer fits.

Burn / water ritual

Write one old story about yourself on scrap paper. Tear it up. If safe, burn or soak it while repeating: “I am not this story anymore.”

ritual8 min

Shoulder roll reset

Roll shoulders forward and back 10 times each, imagining old weight sliding off.

somatic3 min

Day 7

Letter to a younger self

Compassion integration

I speak to my younger self as a guardian, not a critic.

Integration letter

Write a letter from your current self to a younger you who birthed a shadow trait. Name what they did right and how you will protect them now.

journal15 min

Read + cradle

Read the letter out loud, then wrap your arms around yourself or a pillow for 60–90 seconds.
